Marketing Campaign Not So Comcastic

A picture speaks a thousand words, they say.  We all know Comcast has recently begun wrecking the quality of the HD they transmit by compressing it. This ad I capped from Zap2it.com leaves you wondering if the powers that be at Comcast could identify High Definition if they saw it.

Re: Marketing Campaign Not So Comcastic

I have read about compression in many places. Have you got Comcast? I love it. I love compression. Without compression there would be no digital TV, and no HD. You better believe the FCC loves compression. They are very tight with the band width. They are going to cut band width as soon as analog is shut off. Compression is everywhere, every system. I do not know why Comcast gets so much flack for it.

Re: Marketing Campaign Not So Comcastic

High Definition video, standard definition digital cable, DVDs and YouTube videos are all compressed.  The problem with Comcast's compression is that it takes High Definition video and makes it look more like YouTube, all the while calling it High Definition and charging you High Definition prices.
