Comcast only adds New Ch to there lineup in the fall.
Most of the Ch that are on the analog side, are there because the signal comcast gets from the channel provider is also analog. Switching to a digital receiver for each station is very expensive.
It will happen, but not as quickly as people think.
The DS of these analog ch by comcast should occur as the digital feed is acquired.

I've had Comcast HD for 18 months and I've seen them add new HD channels quite frequently, and not just in the fall. Since I signed up they have added discovery, NBC, starz, cinemax, and a couple others to the existing lineup (I'm in Fresno). Not bad for 18 months, that works out a new channel every 3 months or so.

I certainly don't mind. I don't want to speak for the community, but I don't think we are a bunch of Comcast DVR fan boys here. It is more that we have Comcast and now we have their DVR. Many of us still have Tivo (DirecTV too) 
I'm all for the best product. And IMO DirecTV/Tivo still has it. But in that same breath, I feel everyone here is really trying to make the Comcast offering the best by actively providing terrific feedback.

Don't be shy in discussing this. I'd love for Comcast to get wind of this site and review it occasionally. For them to see what other services are offering may cause a "We'd Better Ramp it Up" effect, and that would be a good thing.

Didn'y you know the Comcast Corporate offices have both Dish Network & Direct TV setup in there offices. (Cable was not available) <VEG>

Comcast is adding several local Comcast sports net ch.
They already have CSN - East, and CSN East Coast.
I am sure they will have a West, north, & South Ch soon. Comcast already covers 40% of the US.

I originally thought that with the CBS deal UPN HD would soon follow. Does anyone know if there are plans to add it this fall? Also, is there a possibility of NFL Network having a HD channel?

What HD programming other than the now cancelled "Enterpirse" does UPN have in HD? (In other words, I don't care about UPN HD anymore.. I'd probably rather see WB HD, since they have more HD programming).

Don't know how I missed this post when you posted it, but NFL Network does have an HD channel, and I wish we Comcast customers could see it.
