I don't know about the 6412 version of 12.35, but I just requested and got a Comcastic rollback from 12.35 to 12.31 to stop my 3412 (Microsoft guide version) rebooting daily. Offline #3 09-20-2006 9:39:41 AMRe: Dear Comcast please upgrade my firmwareThat doesn't sound good for me. Offline #4 09-20-2006 10:02:12 AMRe: Dear Comcast please upgrade my firmwareI would get the upgrade. It seems that Wareagle's issue might be isolated. I have had no issues with my 3412 and HDMI switching. Is the 3412 offered in your area (digital silmulcast)? Another suggestion is to call Comcast back and get another tech to help you. In my experience, there are good and bad techs. I can normally tell if I have a good one in the first minute, and if I don't, I get "disconnected" and have to call back, normally getting a different tech. Can't hurt to try. You got a new HDMI switching receiver, might as well use it. Many customers in the Seattle area have experienced the problems, and some have had the firmware reverted to 12.31. The reboots seem to be triggered primarily by use of the transport functions, either while recording or with OnDemand -- the more activity, the more frequent the problems. They didn't require a lengthy reload of guide data, since the Microsoft guide seems to retain those on the drive for quick restoration.
