It went through the washing cycle no problem, but melted in the dryer. Here's a tip to quickly (before your wife finds out) remove gum that has melted inside your clothes dryer: Use Wet Dryer Sheets. A little of both. I guess it dissolved it, but it was really like rubbing an eraser over the gum. There was slight residue from the dryer sheets, but a paper towel wiped that away immediately. Offline #5 02-13-2008 10:15:25 AM
Re: TIP: How to Get Gum Out of Your DryerHere's another tip: If you ever forget a pen in the pocket of a pair of pants, and those pants go through the dryer, chances are, not only will every article of clothing in that dryer load be destroyed, but you'll also leave a nice coating of ink on the inside drum of the dryer. It gets better. If you don't remove said ink, the next time you run the dryer with clothes in it, the heat from the dryer will warm that ink up and get it on subsequent loads of laundry.
