DVR Chatter

Where are you located? I had the same thing happen this morning. I'm in Cogeco country in North Bay, Ont. Canada. I have a 6412, SW: 73.44, FW: 12.35

Yea, I got it too this morning.  Hit "My Recordings" and you get u'! and blank choices.  Hit right arrow next to select and get two choices 'My Recordings" and "Schedules Recordings".  Pick "My Recordings" and all my recording are there and work.  But get this.  If you go to anywhere with the menue key, "Audio Setup" for example and then exit out, you will then get that last choice you made "Audio Setup" for example when you next hit the "My Recordings" key!  To get back the actual My Recordings menue (with the u'!) you have to go to the menue key and pick my recordings and then exit out.  ITS FREAKING COMCASTIC!  Probably a glitch on a new download from early this morning.  There service phones must be ringing off the hook.  What next?

This is apparently a nationwide thing.  It's not a firmware issue either.  On that other board it's happening with both 16.20 and 16.31.  obviously something changed overnight and Comcast is aware of it.  Now we just wait for the fix.

I've put an announcement at the top of the board pointing to this thread as the one to view regarding today's issues.  This seems like a big deal. Please put any additional info here rather than in another thread.

Now seems like an appropriate time to point out that, although that incredibly rotund Bott dude has banned any and all links FROM avsforums TO this forum, there is no ban on linking TO avsforums FROM here.  I guess it's just because I'm such a nice guy who doesn't hold a grudge.

The Comcast guy on the phone said that it is a problem that appears to have been caused last night by a signal sent out by TV Guide.   He thinks a new signal will be sent out within 18 to 24 hours to fix it.  Look out!

I had something similar. Mine had >Q%. I rebooted the box, thinking it was some glitch (it's been at least 2 weeks since the last reboot!!) It's OK so far.

I think the issue with the HD's missing from Favorites was also a guide glitch. Remember how it disappeared about 2 weeks after it was first noticed?

Same issues here also, 6412 phase II and 3416.

Also noticed that if you go into the HD menu using the Menu button that whenever you use MyDVR after that you get the same error at the top; however instead of the DVR page it's now on the HD listings page.

Had the same problem this morning except with different glitch symbols.  I rebooted the box by unpluging it and after the box had about 15 minutes to reload basic menus, everthing was back to normal.  Problem gone.  For now... 

I wonder if the guide reloads faster if the box is turned off (and the tuners aren't recording)  or on?

Same here, unplugging and plugging it back in brought it back.
