The "Disc is 100% Full " message arrives !!

I never had that one before...until last night.
I scheduled recording should have started, instead a message popped up,
100 % Full Disk. I checked my saved recordings.  Only the two that should
be there were there, each 2 hrs. long...digital, not HD.

So the program would not record. I deleted one of the stored programs,
and my storage returned to 12%.

I've heard of that one but never experienced it.
