NBC Universal and TiVo have signed a data and advertising deal.

All NBC Universal channels and NBC owned and operated television stations will have access to TiVo StopWatch ratings (what users watch and how they watch it) and can sell TiVo Tags to their advertisers.  TiVo Tags are those little green boxes that pop up telling you to click for more information on the advertised product.  NBC can also put "Thumbs Up To Record" messages on their promos.

TiVo, I'm assuming, gets cash to keep on keepin' on.
