Patent Office upholds key TiVo patent at issue in EchoStar lawsuit
TiVo's patent for a "multimedia time warping system" has been upheld by the US Patent Office. As a result, Dish Network is faced with an order forcing it to disable the functionality of its customers' DVRs.

This also gives them more ammunition to go after everyone else. Get ready to pay even more for DVR service, or have it shut down.
