Verizon Delays Promised Free HDTV

Those of you in areas with Verizon FiOS TV availability will remember the company's pervasive advertising promising a Free HDTV to all new subscribers. The fine print said there would be a 5-10 week wait for delivery of the free Sharp brand television.  Now, following on the heels of announcing that they are out of HD set-top boxes, Verizon has announced a 5 week delay in delivery of the free television.

I guess they figure if they are out of HD set-top boxes there is no need for the free HDTV!
