DVR Chatter

I gotta quit being so darn lazy and switch out my DVR.  I think it's just running outta gas...it's poopin' out.
It's a couple years old.  Yesterdays fun time was that one station, of course the one I'm watching would suddenly go dark.  You know...same old thing...change to a different channel....picture back...change back to the dark channel....it briefly has life....then poof....dark screen.  Not  to mention, it's almost useless having a remote (harmony logic).  It's not the remote. I see the little dot on the dvr display light up, but it takes a while to react. Like the common known queing up of remote commands...but it's getting to be the norm.  Then of course are the numerous TBA's in  the guide, it seems the box is constantly in download mode.  And of course, the at least once a week occurence of the automatic-by-itself-reboot.

But I'm do lazy to unplug and drive 2 miles to the local Comcastic office and swap it. I  also have a phobia that any box I get in return will be even worse then the one I have.
