I have a full hard drive of programming I really dont want to lose. The cable company (cox) could not help. They had me just get a nother DVR after I told them I would just look online on how to either fix or transfer my shows to my new one. ANy help would be great. I have had thie problem in the past when the power goes out or something. I just keep plugging in back in over and over until it reboots. Normally the 8888 goes away and it gets going but this time its not at all. Thanks you. You can try the 'DVR Authorization and Factory Full Reset' on the Wikibook if you can get it to the boot menu.
