I've talked to a view people nearby who have switched to Uverse.
They are really liking it. The DVR has four channels and they
now have two high-def lines instead of just one. If was
available in my area, I might give it a try now. They have it in
Antioch which is 5 miles away... Maybe I'll get it in two years ?

??? What model DVR do they use? If you want to be picky, the Motorola DCT/DCH's have 4 tuners: 2 video, 1 OOB, 1 DOCSIS.

They are using Motorola VIP 1200/1216 or Cisco 330/430. Either one is capable of recording 4 programs at the same time, although they are not capable of recording that many HD programs.
