I have been unable to copy movies off of my DVR with audio intact using the Firewire + Mac method. The streams I get are all audio-less, and the picture freezes whenever I start a recording. Has anyone else been seeing this recently?

Update: This method has been working for me for at least a year now, and it suddenly broke. I have been recording onto the DVR, and copying off using the Mac Firewire SDK, and then cleaning up the TS files using Project X and VLC.

My firmware just got upgraded earlier this week and I too cannot get an audio stream. And while recording on the PC the TV screen freezes. Any fix or workaround or is the Firewire port now useless?
