TiVo and Entertainment Weekly Ink Agreement

TiVo has entered into a new agreement with Entertainment Weekly which will allow TiVo users to automatically record shows recommended by the magazine's staffers according to The Wall Street Journal.

The alliance is part of a push by TiVo to differentiate itself from digital video recorders offered by cable companies, which have managed to find a bigger audience.

The financial terms of the deal are not being disclosed, the paper said.
