Even though it won't display HD, the ED picture quality showing HD signals downconverted is excellent and certainly there is a price advantage over the panny HD sibling. I have a Sammy HLN 50". He doesn't watch much TV, alot of DVDs and wanted something to hang over the fireplace. Looks like a great display and I agree with remmy on the merits.
