Both the composite and s-video outputs from the 6412 should be active, and should output the same program as seen on the HDMI/DVI or component connectors. Mine work fine. Offline #4 04-21-2006 9:14:27 PMRe: output to VCRI'm trying to use the composite video out ( my VCR does not have s-video) and I want to leave the component connected to the TV. I have tried all the inputs ( front and back ) of the VCR with the same results. I have not yet changed the output of the cable box to 480i as was suggested. Could that be the problem? Offline #5 04-21-2006 9:41:46 PMRe: output to VCRThe composite outputs on the back of the box are what you need, and they should be 480i regardless of the box setting, since those settings only apply to the HDMI/DVI/component connections. If you aren't getting anything into the VCR with composite, then you may have a bad box or you may not have everything set up correctly on the VCR end (such as selection of input source and channel setting).
