DVR Chatter

Depends what kind of inputs you have on your TV. If you have an HD set you're gonna want to use the HDMI or Component cable to connect your 3412 to your set.

Need more info.

You're the only one who knows what connectors your equipment has, so unless you're willing to share that info you'll just have to read the Wiki and figure it out for yourself.

Run a cable from your DVD player player composite outputs to your VCR composite input.  To watch the DVD player on your TV change your channel on the VCR from 3/4 to "Local Input" sometimes this is channel 0.

What about Macrovision?

What I meant was: Won't the Macrovision encoding on the DVDs cause them to be unviewable if he connects the DVD player to the TV through the VCR?  The purpose of Macrovision is to prevent people from recording DVDs onto VCR tapes.

You are exactly right about that.

If you want to have multiple devices connected to a TV, your best bet is to have a TV which accepts the number of connections you wish to make.  Otherwise, you're going to need some kind of switching device.

RF adaptor won't work... OP already said his RF is broken on the TV.  Frank's suggestion of a switch is best if buying a new TV is not possible.

Well, No big deal where its bought because it doesn't matter.  They are all Made in China (says so with a big bold sticker on the bottom).
